07-01-09  Ron Gilbert!
Because PAX is about culture, our keynote speakers are always tough to pick. We don’t have that laser-like focus for the show, so it’s not like some guy with a powerpoint deck that rattles off charts and numbers for an hour is going to cut it. We’ve wanted to get Ron to do our keynote for a while, and even though his resume alone qualifies him in regard to how he has shaped our pastime, it’s who he is today that tells us this keynote will be one to remember.

63 days.

06-19-09  Less than three months away!
We’re going to try something pretty big this year with the tournaments. Since really only a limited number of people get to participate in the draws, we’re going to try to make it a bigger spectacle in terms of that “wow” factor. This means we’re actually only having three console tournaments (the PC and tabletop stuff is also being planned), but they will be HUGE. The games? Street Fighter IV, Halo 3 and Super Smash Bros Brawl. You’ve been warned!

Also, if you’re using twitter check us out at Official_PAX - we’ll be using it beforehand to release news and during the show to interact with the attendees in cool ways. Keynote speaker announcement coming shortly! Thanks!

04-23-09  Bands announced! PAX 10 Registration Open! Sponsors and Exhibitors!
I admit. Two months is a long time to go without updates, but we've been busy. I'll get right to it.

Bands. So far? 6 of them. All of them awesome. Anamanaguchi, Freezepop, JoCo and MC Frontalot. Two new ones: Metroid Metal and Paul & Storm.

Exhibitors. Crazy enough, we're almost sold out already. Some of the highlights include The Behemoth, Bethesda, Bioware, Blizzard, Capcom, CCP Games, EA, Foundation 9, Microsoft, Mythic, Nintendo, NC Soft, Rockstar, Telltale, Turbine, Ubisoft, Upper Deck, Valve, and WB Games. More announcements coming!

02-18-09  And so it begins!
It’s been over five months since PAX 2008 closed to another record year, and after taking those months to rest and plan for 2009, we’re happy announce pre-registration is officially live. Bigger and better in every way, if you plan on attending please make sure to preregister as soon as possible, because the number of badges available will be limited! See you in 200 days!
